Job Title: Manager, Digital Accounts

Reports To: Senior Director, Digital Accounts

Department: Digital and Revenue Development, Global Commercial Services

Location: New York, NY

A little bit about our team:

The WMG Global Commercial Services team maximizes WMG revenue and market share, leading through best practices, platform expertise and forward thinking solutions that support our recorded music strategy

Your role:

Within this role you will be actively working alongside labels & Spotify to execute initiatives alongside the digital accounts team and maximize market share for WMG. You will actively engage in projects with our account management & Spotify teams to discover new best practices and better serve our label partners and WMG. You will be a creative voice to advise the account management team on marketing strategy to best promote WMG artists and content for optimization. You will execute initiatives with Spotify label services to push for maximum exposure for the Warner music artist roster.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Day to Day:

  • You will manage various initiatives and support the Spotify Account Management Team.

  • You will update various best practice documents for WMG and implement with stakeholders.

  • You will manage Emerging Talent Associate each semester for the Spotify Account Management Team.

  • You will record & distribute meeting notes for calls between WMG, label and Spotify teams.

  • You will manage WMG’s Spotify For Artists teams for internal and external teams. Liaising with various tools including artist profile management requests to expedite artist profile maintenance, data and playlist dashboard requests and maximizing tools to fully execute marketing and consumption potential.

  • You will manage communications on behalf of the labels with Spotify regarding ticketing for live shows, artist playbacks, This Is , assets, and other requests.

  • You will provide support to team account operations lead.

  • Reporting:

  • You will create and distribute weekly/monthly placement reports for label’s priority releases, chart reports, account activity, Fans First commitments, Marketing commitments, Countdown Pages, competitive analysis, and catalog promotions.

  • You will track streaming data and market share for performance analysis for trending tracks and report back on trends to social media teams weekly.

  • You will create and distribute monthly Marketplace reports for WMG campaigns and key findings.

  • You will manage reporting of global Fans First merchandise offering revenue and sales against budget.

  • Spotify Ad-Credit Management:

  • You will manage all US ad credit booking for WMG priorities with both WMG marketing teams and Spotify ensuring required guidelines/deadlines are executed, and campaign runs properly.

  • You will manage ad campaign tracking and performance analysis with monthly reporting & quarterly meetings.

  • Spotify Marketing Support:

  • You will work with the labels to communicate, solicit, organize, execute and track Spotify on-platform activations.

  • You will manage the Spotify Fans First process for all WMG labels, liaising with Spotify and label teams to build and launch Fans First offerings as well as manage reporting and tracking of offering results.

  • You will manage communication between Spotify Artist Label Partnerships team and Label personnel to deliver assets for on-platform looks.

  • You will track account, label and artist social commitments for day to day department.

  • You will create and distribute a weekly Spotify social mailer to internal stakeholders, highlighting social support across Spotify channels.

About you:

We’d love it if you also had:

  • You have 2-3 years Music Sales and/or Marketing or equivalent digital retail experience.

  • You have a range of digital sales, marketing, and merchandising experience to be determined by specific territory needs

  • You have knowledge on social media outlets

  • You have a passion and interest in developing artists and music

  • You have an excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

  • You have an ability to take direction and execute specific outlined initiatives.

  • An understanding of digital streaming music services

  • A strong working knowledge of ad-supported services & business models.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Salary Range

$60,000 to $70,000 Annually

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
